This was my favorite secret this week.

This was my favorite secret this week.

Someone made a memorial group on facebook, and random people would comment and say how great a person she must have been, but that they hadn’t even known her. It drove me insane.

Cardboard Testimonies

I went to a worship service tonight, and there were Cardboard Testimonies. The chaplain offered the chance to anyone who hadn’t made one yet to do it before we started and share their testimony. I didn’t know what to write though. I don’t think I would have been brave enough to share it anyways.

My favorite part about this wasn’t reading what people wrote on the cardboard. I barely even glanced at the cardboard. Their eyes were what really told the story. The look on their face when they shared part of their story was just…amazing. The shy smiles, the relieved look when someone shares something they had kept between themselves and God…its what I felt when I sent my secret to PostSecret, and I imagine that PostSecret events have a lot of the same faces. I can’t believe that I didn’t go to it when it was so close to my home.
